2004 MAZDA3 with VINs lower than JM1BK**** ** 219021 (produced before August 18, 2004)
When driving over a rough road, a knocking noise may be heard from the front suspension. Vibration of the piston rod on the front shock absorber may be transmitted to the mounts due to fluctuation in the oil pressure of the front shock absorber, resulting in the knocking noise.
The characteristic of the rubber has been modified to prevent the noise.
