1995-1998 Proteges with Z5 & BP engines and automatic transmissions.

DESCRIPTION

An excessive vibration may be felt at idle when the transmission is in drive or reverse gears. This may be caused by the No.1 engine mount material becoming hardened or cracked. A modified part is available which is more heat resistant. Customers complaining of this concern should have their vehicle repaired according to the following procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

  1. Verify customer complaint.

  2. Inspect the No.1 engine mount for cracks and/or hardening.

  3. Verify repair.
