SPARK PLUG WIRE RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

DESCRIPTION

The OE (black colored) spark plug wires have been modified to improve durability. When diagnosing a concern and the spark plug wires are the suspected cause, check each wires resistance according to the table below prior to replacement.

NOTE: The specifications listed below DO NOT apply to replacement spark plug wires (NGK, blue colored). Service Managers should place a copy of this bulletin in the appropriate workshop manual.

MODIFICATION I.D.

The modified spark plug wires have a modification mark or are made using a different material. Refer to the following to identify the modified plug wires.

  1. A small 1mm dimple on the plastic extender next to the numbers.

  2. The plug wires extender has a glossy finish.

  3. The plug wires extender is rubber material.
