If the battery goes dead, the cause may be excessive voltage draw       
(140ma) with all the accessories off.                                   
                                                                        
Be sure to check the CPU, it may be causing the ignition switch         
illumination ring to stay on.  Try a CPU from a known "good" vehicle to 
confirm.
