0000700 Dealer Repair Information

If a customer complains of one or more of the following four (4)
symptoms while driving at freeway/highway speeds (approx. 55 mph) for
approx. 20-30 minutes, but does not complain when the vehicle is cold
and driven at slower speeds, the brake master cylinder push rod
adjustment may be off causing brake drag.

1. Vehicle loses power and the brake pedal feels hard.
2. Brakes gradually apply themselves while driving.
3. Front end vibrates.
4. Steering wheel shimmies.

Check for proper operation of all brake components (brake calipers
sticking, rear brakes sticking etc.). If all brake components are
operating correctly, check the master cylinder push rod adjustment, it
may be adjusted too long causing the brakes to drag. Refer to the
Workshop Manual Section P.
