If you find a vehicle that has Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) of 02, No
NE signal, or 03, No G signal, check to see if an aftermarket
distributor cap and/or rotor has been installed.

Before replacing the distributor, carefully inspect the distributor cap
and rotor to determine if they are Genuine Mazda Parts. If they are not,
replace with Genuine Mazda parts and verify that the concern is fixed.
