During normal braking, a squeaking and/or vibration may occur from the
front brakes. The front brake pads may become partially separated from
the backing, causing either of these symptoms.

Aggressive braking may produce cracks on the lower layer of the brake
pad material. Since this material contacts the brake pad backing, rust
can develop on the backing and cause partial separation from the brake
pad. This condition can cause squeaking and/or vibration during
braking. To improve adhesion between the brake pad material and the
backing, the
brake pad material has been changed as of July 4, 1996 mass-production.
If you encounter a customer complaint for this concern, repace the front

brake pads with modified parts.
