0002784 Dealer Repair Information
The malfunction indicator light (MIL) may illuminate and DTC codes
P0440, P0442, and P0455 may be stored in memory. This concern may be
caused by a
crack in the catch tank, which allows evaporative gas to leak. To
prevent this concern, the manufacturer improved installation procedures
and the
welding process.
Customers complaining of this concern should have their vehicle
inspected and replace the catch tank, if necessary.
(1) Verify the concern.
(2) Replace catch tank with one produced after August 6, 1996.
When you replace catch tank confirm production lot number, as
follows: PRODUCTION DATE SHOWN IN PRODUCTION LOT NUMBER, 6H6
