No torque converter lock-up or unusual vibration is felt during torque
converter lock-up operations.

Perform the following procedures to raise temperature of fluid:

1. Firmly set parking brake.
2. Shift change lever to "D" range with brake pedal pressed.
3. Perform stall test for 5 seconds, let engine return to idle.
4. Shift trans to neutral and slightly race engine (3000-3500 rpm) for
5 seconds, let engine return to idle.
5. Perform steps 3 N 4 twelve (12) times.

Road test vehicle under the following conditions:

Drive the vehicle at 45 MPH in "D" range at approximately 1/4 throttle.
During T/C lock-up verify the engine rpm's drop approximately 500 rpm
and no vibration occurs in vehicle. If rpm's only drop approximately 50
rpm's and a vibration is felt, condition is most likely caused by a bad
torque converter and it should be replaced.
