Inspection Procedure:

When you encounter a vehicle with this concern, confirm the
following:

1. That condition is not the result on an open, intermittent open,
or high resistance within the shift solenoid circuits.

Note: When inspecting shift solenoid circuits move the emissions
harness where it bridges the firewall to the transmission.

2. Or that there is an excess of 100 rpms difference between the
ENGINE SPEED N TURBINE SPEED PIDs at constant speed UPHILL over
45 MPH but not above 60MPH with the Shift "E" PID turned "ON".

**** See Inspection Procedures Below ****

3. Low Line pressures.

If there is an excess of 100 rpms difference between the ENGINE SPEED
N TURBINE SPEED PIDs and/or low line pressures the root cause may be
the result of internal pressure loss at the oil pump bushings, which
will require the replacement of the transmission to correct.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE PID DATA MONITORING WHEN DRIVING VEHICLE AS
INDICATED
* Clear DTC using NGS Generic function.
* Select RPM, TURBINE, Shift Solenoid E, and VS PIDs. Through the
PID DATA MONITOR and record screen.
* When driving uphill at constant speed over 45 MPH but not above 60MPH
(where speed laws permit)push the trigger to capture/record data.
* After a time press the trigger to save data.
* In a safe location select VIEW RECORDING by pressing the trigger
* Select the RPM, TURBINE, SHIFT E and VS then view in the TABLE format.

* Compare RPM N TURBINE speeds only when the Shift E is on.
