Symptom and Conditions

The vehicle has the correct OE radio head with an SAT button, and the
SAT function is inop.                                               

Repair Procedure

Note : If test channel 184 was never seen, then the installation was   
       not done correctly, or there is a loose connection or defective 
       DLP (Sirius black box).

For CX-7 and CX-9, no manual self-diagnostics is available.  If an error
exists, the display will automatically show "ANTENNA FAIL" or          
"ACQUIRING".  If either message is displayed, use the following        
procedure to repair.                                                   
                                                                       
ANTENNA FAIL displayed :                                               
1. Check connections at DLP from antenna
2. Check connection on main harness from DLP to head unit              
3. Check antenna wire for damage                                       
4. Replace antenna (see Parts Information below)                       
                                                                       
ACQUIRING MESSAGE displayed :                                          
1. Check connections at splitter between DLP and antenna               
2. Replace splitter (see Parts Information below)

To check the system for error codes, perform the following functions   
for activation of the SAT self-diagnostic mode:                        
                                                                       
1. Turn key on or start engine.                                        
                                                                       
2. Turn the radio OFF.                                                 
                                                                       
3. Press and hold POWER button,then press SAT button + Clock button    
   together for more than 1.5 seconds.                                  

Note: For '06 models that have a MEDIA button, press and hold the POWER button,
         then press MEDIA+CLOCK together for more than 1.5 seconds.

4. If there is no error code, the radio head display will show 'Noerr'.
   Cycle the IG key to remove the 'Noerr'from the radio display        
   and the radio will operate normally when turned back on.            
                                                                       
5. If there is an Error Code on the display, refer to the table below  
   for repair advice.                                                  
           

                                                              
                                                                       
6. To delete the error code from the radio display, press the POWER    
   button + AUDIO CONT button together for more than 1.5 seconds.
