The Sirius Radio subscription cannot be activated even though
the
installation is correct,test channel 184 is present and the vehicle
is parked outside so the antenna is not blocked from receiving
the
satellite
signal.
1. Confirm if Sirius Radio installed and activated on another
dealer
vehicle is working. If no, contact Sirius Radio at
1-888-539-7474.
If yes,proceed to
step#2.
2. Have Technician verify the
following:
* Make sure all connections are
tight.
* When audio unit is turned on and 'SAT'function is
picked,does
test channel 184 appear on display and can you
hear Sirius
broadcasting
advertisment?
* Depending on the vehicle, can you toggle from SR1 to SR2
to SR3
when in 'SAT'
mode?
* If yes, proceed to step#3 with Sirius Radio Tech Support
on the
phone (use cell phone while sitting inside
vehicle)
3. Pull the 15A room fuse for 15 seconds to reset the audio unit,and
then turn the audio unit back on. After audio unit is
turned back
back on, display should show 'Updating'and can take 20
seconds or
longer to get activated subscription
working.
