Symptom and Conditions

When performing the audio unit re-flash, there may be an error message
saying 'TIMEOUT,PUSH RESET'. All connections are correct and tight,but
the message still appears preventing the re-flash.                   

Repair Procedure

Re-flashing the audio unit on the Mazda3 is unique from the other      
affected vehicles in SSP69.                                            
                                                                       
The radio must be COMPLETELY REMOVED AND DISCONNECTED from the vehicle.
If the radio is left in the vehicle and still connected to the radio's 
wiring harnesses, the re-flash will not be possible. The Mazda3 re-flash
is basically performed on the bench using the MX-5 face plate. The     
Laptop provides the power to flash the radio.
