Information
Symptom and Conditions
If
during the beginning of the audio unit re-flash procedure, an error
message saying ‘Timeout, push RESET’ appears, check the following
possible causes:
-
The
Room Fuse was NOT removed before the ignition key was turned to the off
position.
-
Flashing
device connector J302 was NOT installed before J301. Always install
J302 first, then J301 second to the radio flash ports.
-
If using a Dell
Laptop, the Laptop may be getting too warm. Keep laptop elevated to
provide air circulation.
-
Flashing device connectors J301 and J302 may
be reversed in the re-flashing ports in the audio unit.
Repair Procedure
- When
all of the above possibilities have been checked, check the connectors
inside the black box ‘Flashing Device.’
- Remove
the four (4) screws on the bottom of the box; remove the box cover.
- Confirm
the USB port and Serial port connectors are connected and tight.
