ON/WARNING LIGHT
A customer may encounter various electronic malfunctions that may include no start, no communication with MMDS, ABS hydraulic motor run on, and possibly airbag deployment. These concerns and others could be induced by a lightning strike.
If a lightning strike has occurred, signs will be present at the
wheels
where the electricity passed to the ground. Check for discolored
sidewalls and damaged rims. Also check the vehicle surface for the
point of contact. There should be an obvious mark on the vehicle.
