Symptom and Conditions

Some service procedures require removing engine compartment cowl cover.
This exposes the lower edge of the windshield which can be broken by the
slightest bump of a tool or large part.                                

Repair Procedure

Use 3/4" heater hose approximately 4 feet long and cut it from one end 
to the other.  Spread the hose open and wrap around the base of the    
windshield to provide protection.
