1995 - 97 Protege with a VIN of JM1BC14**V0102354 and lower.
The rear portion of the roof molding may dislodge from the fastener and lift from the body surface. This condition is caused by interference between the molding lip and the roof surface. High ambient temperatures may also lead to this condition.
The molding lip has changed to prevent the interference. Customers complaining of this concern should have the vehicle inspected and if necessary, repaired according to this bulletin.

2. Remove 50mm from the rubber lip with utility knife (or equivalent). Refer to Fig. 2
3. Apply a general adhesive (Permatex Auto Trim Adhesive or equivalent) to the "T" stud and fastener.
4. Install roof molding and secure to the body with tape.
5. Allow adhesive to dry for 5-10 minutes and remove tape.
6. Confirm repair.NOTE: If molding replacement is necessary, remove excess rubber and install according to this bulletin. Refer toFig. 2
